How does she tie into the thief quest I mentioned? Well, instead of Jorrun taking advantage of Dantooine's laws to steal Suulru's farming equipment and sell it back to him at inflated prices (in pieces), highlighting the strain between the semi-desperate and antagonistic salvagers and the low-patience settlers, we instead have Kaevee as the culprit (and she was also stealing from the salvagers), with the only explanation she offers being 'I took it because Jedi get things for helping and I needed money for food' (which how her plan was to work makes little sense because someone would be able to track the sale back to her). Also, she had a Sith holocron that told her to defend her home at any cost - which she then proceeded to intentionally lose long before we ever showed up. She somehow hid in the Enclave for the next few years until KotOR 2, stealing things from people in order to sell for credits in order to get food (all without anyone realizing she was there apparently). This padawan was apparently protected by Shien (minor character from KotOR 1, son of Alan Matale of the 'Sandrel-Matele Feud' quest) during the bombardment of Dantooine and the following ransacking of the area by the Sith. For those who haven't played the PC version with TSLRCM - Kaevee is a padawan you will find on Dantooine in the Enclave after killing the laigreks in the dorm-like area near the entrance (it is the dead end area, not found on either side path).
